To deliver against this inspiring goal we are changing how we work, reallocating resources and investing heavily to create a team of exceptional people capable of creating winning England teams at our world-class training facilities at St George’s Park in Staffordshire.

This is a unique and exciting time to join The FA in an integral role to the organisation achieving its goals.

The post-holder will enhance and influence the development of young English female elite footballers contributing to the overall Strategy to build winning teams. They will deliver the strategy for the women’s talent development pathway including FA Regional Development Programme, Regional Talent Hubs and National Performance Camps.


  • To provide individual and specific onsite support and training for our talented players within their club environment.
  • To support the development of technical coaches within a Regional Talent Club (RTC) setting who are working with our talented players.
  • To manage, coach and deliver on Regional Development Programme (RDP).
  • To manage, coach and deliver on National Performance Camps (NPC).
  • To provide local Performance Hubs for elite players to access specialised S&C, Nutrition, Lifestyle and Educational support, in addition to technical delivery.
  • To manage and deliver player audit meetings to case conference all players within the RDP & NPC programmes.
  • To provide support in building positive relationships for talented girls to train with boys where appropriate to support their developmental needs.
  • To work with International youth coaches to support the transition and development of U15 and U16 International players within the Talent Pathway.
  • Use an appropriate player management tool to track, monitor and report on elite players within the Talent Pathway.
  • Support the implementation and delivery of a female coach development programme across the talent pathway.
  • To work as an FA Scout in Regional Talent Clubs.
  • To work in collaboration with a Regional Talent Reporter to ID players across the whole game.
  • Where other role commitments and accountabilities allow, potential opportunity to be Assistant Coach on occasions with the England Development Teams.
  • To contribute to the strategic direction of Football Development, as agreed with the Women’s Head of Talent and Divisional Directors, supporting the delivery of strategic milestones and goals
  • Be an advocate and ambassador for St George’s Park working with the team to ensure optimum environments for Club England
  • Execute additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities


UEFA A Licence or FA Advanced Youth Award (or working towards completion in 2017)

Member of FA Licensed Coaches Club

Experience of working with elite female players and coaches

Experience of developing/teaching coaches

Demonstrable understanding of Women’s Elite Football

Understanding of The Future Game and elite girls long term player development

Experience of day to day budget management

Experience of managing a team

Experience of delivering presentations

Proficient Skills in Microsoft Office
