Marketing Officer

Our Organisation:

The Football Association (The FA) is the governing body of football in England. We are responsible for promoting and developing the game at all levels; from grass roots through to the professional game, The FA Cup and the England International teams, and has two core assets: Wembley Stadium and St George’s Park.

 

Overview of the role:

To lead the delivery of key Wembley Stadium marketing initiatives for the FA Group, including:

  • Delivering digital marketing campaigns for our online retail proposition and Wembley Tours
  • Working with the Wembley Senior Marketing Manager to support overall Wembley marketing plans
  • Build and own our affiliate marketing plan across paid, earned and owned.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and successfully execute digital marketing campaigns to deliver business goals of retail revenue and Wembley Tour visits & revenue
  • Work with the FA media agency to deliver an integrated, high-performance media plan, ensuring ongoing optimisation and test/learn (i.e. AB testing content)
  • Work with the retail team to understand and support the product roadmap to develop campaigns & offers
  • Build and own our affiliate marketing plan across paid, earned and owned
  • Ensure excellent coverage across the FA owned and earned channels, including web, CRM, social and in-stadium
  • Work with the in-house design team to create and optimise brand assets
  • Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities

What we are looking for:

Essential

  • Digital marketing experience, including paid media and performance media
  • Affiliate marketing experience
  • Proven to be able to deliver digital marketing campaigns with a demonstrable high ROI, delivering on business goals
  • Excellent cross-team collaboration skills and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience presenting proposed and final marketing campaigns to stakeholders
  • Experience using data to inform rationale for marketing campaigns
  • Project management skills
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of sports marketing
  • Experience of managing agencies
  • Relevant degree/qualification(s)
