The Premier League, EFL, FA, PFA, and LMA are looking to recruit a consultant on a fixed term 12-month agreement to programme manage the delivery of the newly created Integrated Coaching Strategy (ICS). This is a new consultancy position tasked with supporting the key stakeholders within the professional game to work together, as a partnership, to deliver a World Leading Coach, Manager education and development programme that produces more and better Home Grown Players. The purpose of the consultancy is to manage the initial 12-month period and deliver against agreed aims and targets. The key objectives for Season 2018/19 are curriculum mapping; the creation of Football IT systems that provide one central database and a review of the current Continuing Professional Development (CPD) model.

The Role:

  • To project manage all aspects of the ICS 10-point operational plan
  • To develop an effective online tracking and monitoring system via Smart Sheet
  • To coordinate and chair four quarterly meetings on behalf of the ICS stakeholders group
  • Conduct a curriculum mapping exercise across all Qualifications, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and development programmes
  • Conduct a review of all Football IT systems that relate to coaching and management
  • Project manage the support required in specialist areas (such as IT expertise)
  • Conduct a review of the current CPD definition and requirements and propose a new plan for the delivery of the CPD as a result of the review

Requirements for the role

  • High level stakeholder management skills
  • Experience of working in an elite sports environment
  • Understanding of the principles of elite development in a football environment
  • High level emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
  • High level communication (oral and written) and organisational skills
  • Ability to lead and facilitate meetings
  • IT literate
  • Possess a full driving licence as frequent travel will be required
  • Safeguarding and Protecting Children
  • DBS clearance
