FA Marketing Apprentice - St George’s Park
(14 month Fixed Term contract)
St. George’s Park is The FA Group’s headquarters for The FA Football Development team and FA Learning, as well as being the training home of the 24 England representative teams. 
The vision for St George’s Park is:
  • To become a training destination of choice for coaches, players, administrators and officials from all backgrounds and communities within football and beyond;
  • To become the home of English football development, bringing to life and embodying the ‘whole-game’ coaching and playing philosophy outlined in The FA’s Technical Guide, The Future Game;
  • To become a one-stop coaching and support environment which enhances personal development, leadership qualities, rehabilitation and fitness;
  • To offer all its facilities and services beyond sport and facilitate cross-learning between the sporting and business sectors.
In partnership with Burton & South Derbyshire College*, The FA is seeking to appoint a Marketing Apprentice to work within the Commercial Team at St George’s Park. This role will support the delivery of all marketing requirements for St George’s Park and FA Learning to achieve overall objectives, build the value and reputation of the brands and increase sales
Key aspects of the role include;
·         Supporting the delivery of the agreed marketing plan for SGP
·         Helping to ensure St George’s Park is brought to live via branding and imagery
·         Working with the design team to deliver well branded marketing and sales support materials
·         Working  with internal and external partners to deliver joint marketing activities
·         Coordinate regular communications to our databases via monthly Enewsletter’s
·         Supporting website content updates and produce statistics reports on a monthly basis
·         Monitoring on site branding and literature display and update when required
·         Supporting the promotion of The FA Licensed Coaches’ Club to increase membership and also the promotion of annual conferences and events
·         Work with the FA Learning team including course coordinators to promote national courses, utilising different channels
·         Support the development of National Course printed and digital materials
·         Working with the design team to develop FAL branding and ensure all materials are delivered within brand guidelines
 Successful candidates should possess;
·         An enthusiastic, confident, reliable and helpful nature
·         Good PC skills with sound knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases, and the internet
·         Willing to learn and committed to their own personal development
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in order to engage with internal & external customers at all levels
·         The ability to take on responsibility effectively
·         The ability to work well as part of a team, and the confidence to contribute to team ideas and suggest improvements
·         The ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, meet deadlines and use own initiative.as well as a willingness to work at times unsociable hours, including some evenings/weekends
Please note candidates must not have a degree and must not have already done an apprenticeship (unless they are progressing to a higher level).
Training to be provided in partnership with Burton & South Derbyshire College will be;
·         Business Administration advanced Apprenticeship
·         Business Administration Level 3 QCF (Work based)
·         Technical Certificate in Business Administration
·         Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT Level 2 (Relaxations apply)
·         Personal Learning & Thinking Skills

*Burton and South Derbyshire College is the Official College Partner for St. George’s Park. The College offers a wide range of full-time and part-time Further and Higher Education courses for school leavers who wish to continue their education and adults wishing to widen and develop their skills.
